Andøy Municipality
Area: 659,3 km2.
Population: 5.134 Municipal centre: Andenes, with abt. 2.900 inhabitants.
Facing the sea with its far-flung marshes and craggy mountains, Andøya is the northernmost part of Vesterålen, and is about 300 km north of the Arctic Circle.
The municipality of Andøy also comprises the northernmost section of Hinnøya island.
Thousands of satisfied whale watchers have already had the pleasure of meeting Moby Dick. Now you have the opportunity to see for yourself and take part in this unique experience.

The Whale Centre is located by the lighthouse in Andenes.
