Bird´n Bike

Join us as we follow the Arctic Race of Norway on the west side of Andøy! We combine an inspiring trip out to the seabirds with the cycling race - August 14 in Andøy.

From the Whale Center in Hamnegata on Andenes, we aim to visit by the beautiful bays Otervika, Rækvika and Høyvika in addition to the island Bleiksøya, if there are good sea conditions. Høyvika is known as "The Apple Beach", and the area is otherwise teeming with beautiful seabirds.

The highlight of the trip is perhaps following the cyclists, and by sea - we have the opportunity to follow them for a while and get a different perspective than if you were standing along the road as they whizz past. We follow the cyclists as they come down to Bleik and towards the center of Andenes. The course also runs along the sea as they cycle into Andenes, along Strandgaten - which gives us a great overview almost all the way to the finish line.

The duration of this tour is approximately 2.5 hours - depending on the speed of the cyclists ;)
