The First Mile project
We are proud of been chosen to participate in the First Mile project which is working towards making tourism more sustainable. Our contribution is to work for a greener travel for our guests both while they are in our destination but also travel to and from Andenes.
The mission of the First Mile project is to use the power of behavioral sciences to shape solutions that not only drive the post-COVID-19 recovery of tourism small and medium enterprises (SMEs) but also improve the sustainability of their operations, even with limited resources. Knowledge about human behavior can fuel behavior change approaches that produce immediate effects while requiring little investment.
There are several topics of measures that we can choose to work with. In our company we have chosen to work with green travel. We hope that with our effort, the way of travel into and around in our destination will in time have visible results.
There are various measures we can choose from to contribute. In our company, we have decided to focus on environmentally friendly travel. This also gives our guests the opportunity to experience the country and its people in a completely different way.
