A sustainable way to travel to Andenes is by combining train and bus or ferry. This is a comfortable and social travel option that leaves a much smaller ecological footprint than flying, while also offering a stunning nature experience along the way. Alternative travel methods

• BY CAR OR BUS
  You can travel to Andenes by car from anywhere in Vesterålen, Lofoten or Tromsø. There are also several bus connections from different locations in Vesterålen and Lofoten. Please note that it may not always be possible to arrive and depart on the same day. Bus services are more limited on weekends and during school holidays, so you may need to plan your trip around available departures and possibly include an overnight stay in Andenes. • BY PLANE
  You can fly to Andenes year-round from Bodø, Tromsø or Evenes with SAS-Widerøe . During the summer season, direct flights from Oslo to Andenes are also available with Norwegian.

• BY BOAT
  You can reach Andøy by Hurtigruten or Havila, both of which stop at Risøyhamn, in the southern part of the island. It is also possible to travel directly to Andenes by ferry from Gryllefjord on Senja, which is connected to Tromsø by bus and ferry from May to September.
